Earthstory recreates a unique 55-million-year journey.

In the late 1980’s, fossils found near Boat Mountain just outside Murgon in Southern Queensland rocked the palaeontology world - 15 new fossil species discovered here were found to be 55 million years old, predating any other Eocene period fossils found in Australia by 20 million years!

Earthstory concepted, designed, produced and project managed Murgon 55MYA, a unique fossil museum experience rich with graphics, audio-visuals and both real and supersized 3D-printed replica fossils.

Stage 2 of the project saw us return to create unique and engaging multimedia interactives - a large-scale hologram of Professor Mike Archer walking us through the amazing discoveries that lie in wait below the surface; a voice-matching game of "Can You Sing Like a Bird?"; and a drag'n'drop game of "Find the Nest" to help your chosen bird fly to its own nest within the Boat Mountain landscape!
