A 3D Virtual Reality adventure!

Earthstory dived into 3DVR as an early adopter with what may have been the world's first themed attraction VR experience, with this immersive and engaging ride into the future.

"SYDNEY: 2525 - THE LAST SUPERHERO" 3D virtual reality experience was made possible by drawing upon our experience in the fields of digital interactivity, multimedia, cinematic action and storytelling, game engines, 3D, CGI, product design and recent advances in virtual reality hardware.

Previous challenges to public interaction with 3DVR headsets in a themed attraction environment were overcome by way of a number of Earthstory software and hardware design innovations. Issues of staffing, hygeine, security and health were all addressed in this unique suite of solutions.

Visitors seat themselves in front of a headset unit supported weightlessly by a set of arms that form nested sweeping curves. Six degrees of freedom are provided at the headset, with fully responsive real-time rendering of the computer-generated view when looking in any direction. The high-speed UFO aerial dogfights and chase scenes play out as an adrenaline-packed action movie complete with scored soundtrack, voice-over and sound effects, plus the added "wow" factor of 3D and immersive virtual reality.
